Lysis Group is proud to announce the appointment of Anne Maria Rothenstein as a board member of Lysis Group, effective January 19, 2022.
Anne-Maria Rothenstein is an internationally experienced, bi-lingual compliance executive and NED with over three decades of experience and a deep expertise in International Capital Markets (FICC) and Financial Markets Regulation and Compliance (FLOD & SLOD). She has had extensive experience of leading, working with/advising and sitting on senior internal/external committees, boards and executive teams driving effective, strategic regulatory and governance change and implementation. Furthermore, she brings a demonstrable track record of strategic, commercial and operational success working internationally (London, New York, Frankfurt & Brussels) with global financial institutions/investment banks, exchanges and clearing houses.
Prior to her Compliance and consulting career, Ms Rothenstein enjoyed an extensive career in financial markets selling and trading OTC derivative and cash products (Rates, Currency, Equity, Credit) to a variety of ‘buy-side’ clients (Corporates – Multinationals, SMEs; Institutional- regional banks, asset managers, hedge funds and retail). She has extensive experience working with legal, audit, risk and compliance departments, who are typically primary business drivers of Regulatory Portfolios and Programmes as well as proficiency in liaising with Regulators (FCA, SEC, CFTC, BaFin, etc.).
Ms Rothenstein has operated as the EMEA Head of Capital Markets Compliance & Treasury/Chief Compliance Officer/CF 10/SMF 16 for a global custody bank and has built the Compliance function (advisory, monitoring and surveillance) and the oversight framework for EMEA Capital Markets & Treasury, working closely with the APAC and North America ‘First and Second line of Defence teams’. In 2021 she joined b2c2 , a leading ~Crypto Liquidity provider as the Group Chief Compliance Officer (SMF 16 & 17) where she also sits on the Board (SMF 3) of B2C2 OTC Ltd.
Ms Rothenstein sits on the Main Board of the ACI FMA, as well as beings a member of the ACIFXC – the global FX committee of the ACI Financial Markets Association (Trade Association) and the ACIRWG –the global cross asset regulatory committee of the ACI. In this capacity, she has authored/co-authored the ACI’s consultation responses to various global and national regulators including the ACI FXC’s response to ESMA on MIFID 2 Transparency Addendum, as well as ACI International/FXC’s response to BoE/FCA/HMT consultation on” Fair and Effective Markets Review”. She is also the Compliance Committee Chairperson for Quorum 15.
Ms. Rothenstein is a graduate (January 2020) of the FT NED post-graduate Diploma programme, which is an internationally recognised post-graduate level 7 corporate governance qualification. She has an EMBA from Henley Business School and a BA Hons from Queen Mary, University of London.
